HEMC’s Energy Efficiency Loan Program is unique in that HEMC, not the member, makes the initial investment to upgrade the energy efficiency of the member’s home. The member experiences a savings immediately, even with the added charge on their power bill. The program is designed so that the member’s total monthly energy costs should drop.

Licking Valley RECC offers incentives to its members to encourage the selection of energy efficient and environmentally-wise residential equipment.

Freeborn Mower Electric Cooperative offers its members, Beneficial Electrification Financing. This financing consists of low-interest loans of $1,000-$7,500 to be borrowed over two to five years. The interest rate will be the current Prime Rate as published at the time of the loan application.

Traverse Electric Co-Op Inc. offers an Energy Resources Conservation Loan Program to member consumers of the Cooperative for improvements to structures receiving electric service.

P.K.M. Electric Cooperative, Inc. offers a loan and grant program to member/owners of the cooperative. To qualify, certain conditions must be met. P.K.M. member/owners who qualify by completing IRS form W-9 and passing a credit check or otherwise have demonstrated qualifying repayment history with the cooperative.

Flathead Electric Cooperative, Inc. values residential energy efficiency. As part of this commitment its offer low interest fixed rate loans to aid members in achieving higher energy efficiency in their homes. The following upgrades are eligible for a loan: Heat Pump, Heat Pump Water Heater, Windows, Insulation.

Electel Cooperative Federal Credit Union offers an energy efficient loan program. Loans can be used for making energy- efficiency upgrades, including solar panels. Loan amounts range from $5,000-$35,000 with repayment up to 120 months. Interest as low as 4.9 percent (depending on credit).

Hopkinsville Electric System offers a program where HES customers who qualify can obtain a loan to finance the purchase of a new, qualified heat pump system.

The Borough of Chambersburg is participating in the Main Street Energy Efficiency Financing Program, an on-bill financing program designed to improve energy efficiency for customers by providing low-cost financing to residential homeowners for the purchase and installation of natural gas Energy Star rated appliances to replace non-gas units.

In partnership with First Southwest Bank (FSWB), La Plata Electric Association can support energy efficiency and/or solar photovoltaic project through their On Bill Financing (OBF) program. This program aims to help members finance these projects over time while reaping the energy-saving benefits immediately.

This program offers to finance energy-efficiency home improvements with a HomePlus to members of Coastal Electric Cooperative through the Go Energy Financial Credit Union.

Cobb EMC and Go Energy Financial have partnered to offer a fast and economical way to finance energy efficient home improvements.

This program allows qualifying consumer-members to spread upfront costs of installing heat pumps, commercial EV chargers, insulation upgrades and solar panels over multiple years – as an additional charge on the monthly electric bill.

Created by the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism and the Hawaii Green Infrastructure Authority, the Hawaii Green Energy Market Securitization (GEMS) Program is bringing clean energy technologies to Hawaii ratepayers, including those who are underserved, by providing innovative financing products that result in electricity bill savings for customers with no money down. The GEMS Program is intended to create a sustainable financing structure through market driven public-private partnerships that will open access to financing for more Hawaii customers and democratize access to clean energy.

The How$mart Program allows Farmers RECC members to make energy efficiency improvements to their home and to finance those improvements through a low-interest loan which is paid back over a period of time on their Farmers RECC bill. Energy efficiency improvements can include weatherization and air sealing, replacement of electric furnaces or other electric resistive heat sources, and other measures.

Holy Cross Energy launched an on-bill tariff pilot program aimed at financing battery energy storage systems for its members. The program, known as Power+, involves six homes, which will each receive two or three of stationary and rechargeable Tesla Powerwall lithium ion battery packs. Participants will repay Holy Cross Energy over 10 years through a line item on their utility bills, to cover the costs of the Tesla batteries.

Loans are available for installations of electric heating products such as heat pumps, electric boilers, electric furnaces, base board heaters, cove heaters, electric water heaters, fan forced heaters and thermal storage heat.

The program provides debt-free financing to the co-op’s members for the replacement of fossil-fueled residential and commercial equipment with electric equipment. The program also finances electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for both residential and small businesses. Program participants repay OPALCO for these measures as a line item on their monthly bill. The program’s goal is to finance 100 projects per year for the next 10 years. This program is part of OPALCO’s “This Electric Life” initiative to reduce the San Juan Islands’ reliance on fossil fuels by transitioning to all-electric buildings and vehicles (including island ferries).

The Co-op works with the power supply partner East River Electric Power Cooperative and offer a loan program available for those members who want to finance the cost of installing an electric heat pump heating system in a single residential dwelling as well as Energy Efficient (EE) loans.

Coweta-Fayette EMC has partnered with GEMC Federal Credit Union to develop the HomePlus Loan Program, a fast and economical way to finance energy efficient upgrades.
